Nancy 3. Hoffman, Founder of the Umbrella Cover Museum on Peaks Island
Nancy 3. has collected nearly a thousand umbrella covers - the little sleeves that slip onto a closed umbrella - sent to her by people from around the world. She’s arranged them in collections: International Umbrella Covers, Very Serious Umbrella Covers, British Umbrella Covers. There is a collection of “Sexy Umbrella Covers” in the bathroom. The museum seems childlike and whimsical, and Nancy 3. says, “It’s for adults and kids! Or, the kids in the adults. The whimsical curiosity that some people have scrunched down.”// Read more// Recent stories

Newz by The Nunz W/ Holly NunanYour last chance to funk it out this Monday at the final Players Ball at The Big Easy
Not that I am admitting defeat, but Monday’s been kicking my ass all day long. It seems that with each passing weekend, I become more and more adverse to the idea of acting my age and taking responsibility for my bad decisions, so much so that I get booted in the ass when Monday makes its way to town. Any who, here’s how this Monday evening is shaping up! Do it to it. Do not admit defeat!

Yes! Hooo-lay yesss! It is finally Friday! Seriously, I didn’t start to feel like a human and reach total recovery from Old Port Fest until yesterday – no joke. Fore Front Fashion W/ Laura SerinoMy absolute favorite place to go thrifting is…
Goodwill South Portland (555 Maine Mall Road). A friend recently reminded me that though I’m constantly telling people to go here, and I’m always finding great clothes here, I’ve never actually blogged about it before! Sac le bleu! So for the good of this blog, and the world, I thought I’d take you along on my most recent thrifting trip.

Fore Front Fashion W/ Laura SerinoWhat does Dad really want for Father’s Day?
Booze. I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that buying men alcohol as a gift is always a crowd pleaser. But since I like to pair thoughtfulness with practicality, here’s a few “pairings” if you will, of Father’s Day drinks and gifts that will please any Pops.

Fore Front Fashion W/ Laura SerinoI tried on my Mother’s wedding dress and I didn’t hate it
Let’s be honest. Styles change with the times. It’s easy to get caught up in trends, especially when you’re looking for a wedding dress. On a recent trip home, my Mom said, “You should try on my wedding dress!” This is normally a moment all bride-to-be’s dread, but I was surprised to see that I have the potential be a 70′s inspired peace-and-love bride.
