Friday, 9:50 am: Here it is September, it must be time for the blog for people who hate to read. [blank] [blank] blank]. I can only go so far with blanks in brackets. Being a bit of a slackard, I put blogging off, so whatever I write about is no longer relevant to anything, least of all - weather. In the past few weeks, to fulfill my middle-brow appreciation of the arts, I finished watching my Death Wish DVDs; yes all three, with Charles Bronson. That was a middle-aged man with attitude. To breakup my trilogy of vigilante justice movies I watched Blacula. Now there’s a gem from 1972 and American International Pictures. I am waiting to buy Shaft and Superfly to complete my collection. I don’t know exactly what I am collecting, but I am pretty sure it is tasteless and low budget. Take that Will Shakespeare! The summer, such as it is, has been a disaster for our garden and all the gardens in our area. Blight has affected our potato and tomato plants. Ruth has observed that summer-like weather has only lasted three or four days. One night it was even down to the high 30s F. It appears we have gone straight from spring into fall almost completely bypassing summer. Here in the hinterland life goes on. Current values from our wireless Davis Vantage-Pro weather station: Temperature: 67.2o [F.] Barometer: 29.963 & steady Humidity: 73% Wind: ESE at 5 mph Visibility: Unlimited Skies: Scattered clouds Precipitation: None Since midnight: Low temperature: 52o [F.] at 4:19 am High wind: 7 mph at 9:08 am

...or not ... we still enjoy reading your commentary -- weather related and otherwise -- and especially on your shall we say unique (and I might add consistent) perspective on life. Stephan
