It's snowing again!

Friday, January 6, 2006, 9:20 am: Good morning! It’s snowing lightly now. We have about one to two inches of accumulation. It has warmed up considerably from two days ago, but still not above freezing yet.

Our town’s snow plough has been down our road nice and early. It is always difficult to know what US Route One will be like. Our road is ALWAYS different. I think we live in a micro-climate.

Our border collie, Mitzie, is on the mend. She slipped on some ice two days ago and twisted or sprained her right front leg. Unfortunately she has some rather severe joint disease and this type of injury hits her pretty hard. She has a lot of spirit. One of her main motivations for getting well is to gather up all her squeaky stuffed toys, and make sure none of the other dogs can play with them. Ah, border collies!

From our Vantage-Pro weather Station at 9:20 am:

Temperature: 24 degrees Fahrenheit

Barometer: 29.70 in. and steady

Humidity: 76%

Winds: Calm

Skies: Overcast and snowing lightly

Visibility: less than one mile

Low temperature since midnight: 21.6 degrees F. at midnight

High wind since midnight: no measurable wind
