Snow and Rain Today!
Thursday, January 12, 2006, 9:15 am: It is snow and rain mixed today with some rather large flakes. How unusual, our weather station displays 36 degrees F. I’m sure once the temperature drops this afternoon all the water and slush will turn to ice.
I haven’t gone out to use our snowblower. It’s pointless until the town’s snowplow clears our road. The plow operator tends to push the snow right back into our driveway. And on days like today the snow will be very wet and probably, only get blown just a few feet out of our snowblower’s chute. But that’s life in rural Maine. It’s time for hot chocolate and whipped cream.
