Snow!
Sunday, 10:30 am: This has been a most unusual week for weather. Just a few days ago on November 30 we had a high of 52° (F.), and now it is 21° (F.) with about two inches of snow. We had quite a snow storm yesterday. I’ve been scolded for not putting up our storm windows in time -- mia culpa!
I’ve got a new computer, which is a hot rod compared to my old computer. Today’s blog is being typed on it. It took me a few days to remember all my assorted usernames, passwords and other settings, so I could transfer them to this computer. Not being terribly bright sometimes, I should write them down, but I suppose that’s too easy. My bottleneck is my slow Internet connection speed which I’ve, unhappily, learned to live with.
Last Tuesday and Wednesday we drove to Bangor and Augusta for a little in-state R and R. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best. Starting on Tuesday evening, drizzle, mist and occasional snow flurries seemed to cover Maine from Augusta to the Saint John Valley. My wife commented that it reminded her of Frankfurt/Main. We made it back home with many new books and audio books.
That’s it from the northern borderlands. It’s cool and crisp outside, and unwillingly I will be putting up our storm windows. Ciao!
