A Great Day
Monday, 11:30 am: We still have snow on the ground. Our dogs love it; they roll and tumble in it. I have to admit, I’m not that adventurous, but like it nonetheless. The skies are clear and the temperature has just gone above the freezing mark. I suspect it will be a very pleasant day. Our new metal roof on our garage is working as advertised; the snow is sliding off. It sure beats using our snow rake.
Our new Border Collie, Cosmo, is doing fine. He is a bit of a counter surfer. He manages to sneak food off our table and countertops in the blink of an eye. Although we try to be diligent, we’ve occasionally caught him in the act. I’ve wagged my finger at him and he just wagged his tail back. My wife says I am a soft touch and that I am not stern enough. That can’t be true? Tomorrow we drive into to our veterinarian for Cosmo’s first check-up with us. He does love car rides.
Today the Saint John Valley is a winter wonderland with a few inches of snow, a very bright sun, and a crisp and cool light breeze. It is a picture postcard day. Life is good.
