Heavily Overcast
Saturday, 10:00 am: The unusual weather continues. The entire day, yesterday, was misty or foggy which added an eerie quality to life well into the night. Today the fog has dissipated and it is just heavily overcast. The visibility has improved significantly.
Last night while driving home from Van Buren the fog was so thick that I was driving about 30 mph. It also didn’t matter whether I used high beam or low beam, both worked equally poor. I was concerned we would end up as road kill for some moose who wanted to fly through the windshield and sit in our laps. In the end we made it home okay without injury.
The local freight trains have been on their horns on and off this morning. I imagine large wildlife have been strolling on the tracks. Luckily the trains, on the American side, move fairly slow and can avoid most collisions.
My wife brought home some brownies which go very well with her German-style coffee [it’s just a very strong brew]. So shortly I will head downstairs and gobble up the remaining brownies and wash it down with her germ killing coffee. Onto the weather.
