More Cold!

Wednesday, 7:45 am: And I thought yesterday was cold. At the moment it is –27° (F.). Fortunately there is no wind. Luckily I remembered to plug in our car’s block heater last night.

Even though we’ve had several days of arctic-like weather, overall this winter has been relatively mild. Since January 14, 2007 we have had no day over freezing (32° F.). On January 7 our high temperature was –7.3° (F.). I’m curious what today’s “high” temperature is will be. I’ll keep my readers posted.

Our drive, yesterday, to Presque Isle was uneventful. On the way my wife and myself managed to solve the world’s problems, end hunger and resolve strife. Boy are we some bright folks. Yeah right! Unfortunately even between the two of us we can’t agree on many things. Is her, well-thought out, way the best, or is my off the cuff way the best? I’d make a poor politician. My wife would be much better, but you better not slouch.

Current values from our wireless Vantage-Pro weather station:

Temperature: -26.7° (F.)

Barometer: 29.853 & steady

Humidity: 64%

Wind: Calm

Visibility: > 3 miles

Skies: Clear

Precipitation: None

Since midnight:

Low temperature: 26.7° at 7:45 am

High wind: 1 mph at 12:54 am
