Weather Minutia - Of Sorts
Saturday: 10:05 am: Rain finally arrived yesterday, a day later than expected. No torrential downpours just steady rainfall throughout the day. We were on the road on and off during the day for our weekly shopping trip to Presque Isle. All is taken care of and can I resume my place in the food chain, hopefully somewhere in the middle.
We visited our new neighbor during the week. Our road is very international; besides a sprinkling of Canadians and people “from away”; we have people from Germany, England and Belarus living close to us. Across town there is another person from Romania. This might upset [to use Henry Kissinger’s term] “The Balance of Power” in the local community. Some think we’re Fifth Columnists for something as yet to be determined. International politics juxtaposed with rural America, how very intriguing. The possibilities are unlimited. I like that idea. Your passport please and no slouching!
So much for being politically and regionally insensitive again; there is somewhere in this text, something weather-related. Usually that’s less interesting; unless you are into number crunching and other minutia. I’d rather be looking online for famous Jonathan Winters quotes from it’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Apparently I have too much free time.
