Calm Winds and Overcast

Last evening we went from an overcast sky to clear and star studded by 23:00 hours. Now we have gone back to mostly cloudy to overcast this morning. When I took Bart for his walk there was a ring around the moon, and now an hour later the moon cannot be seen. Right now Bart, who has some nervousness at loud noises, is acting like there might be a thunder storm close by. If that is the case then the Mare's Tails did not lie yesterday.
Once again this morning it is too warm for a wind chill and too cool for a heat index, so basically it is comfortable. At this location we still have not had a frost, but I do not know how much longer that will continue. It may be possible to escape one more by covering the peppers, and possibly using a sprinkler to keep the freezing temperatures away from the plants as they do in the citrus groves, but that will probably be the end of it for this year.
