Gentle Breeze and no Dew

The grass this morning was dry since there was no rain, fog or dew. This is probably the result of having some wind overnight that did not allow the dew to condense on anything. The clouds across the face of the moon gave it the appearance of being fuzzy. Yest4erday afternoon much of the cloudiness was of the Mare's Tails and Mackerel Scales variety which seem to indicate some rain within 24 hours. The temperature is still hanging around the mid-forties with no apparent inclination to change either up or down. That being the case we are now living on borrowed time with regard to frost. The average first frost date for this area is September 15th, and right now we are beyond that.
