Warming Trend
After lows in the mid-twenties overnight the temperature is rising quickly. It is already (08:45) almost 42, which is what I used for the Wind Chill and Dew Point Calculations. It is very bright outside, and that bodes well for getting out to finish preparations for our next season.
Yesterday the sheep and goats remained confined to their upper pasture and seemed to be quite pleased to be so. It is only when they become bored with their browse that they begin to become escape artists and look for more interesting feed.
I noticed also that the leaves are for the most part gone. Once the lawn dries out a little more, and the garden dries out so I will not be walking in oatmeal there I can finish the preparations for spring. I am going to plant my garlic and at least 2 varieties of peas before the ground is frozen, if at all possible.
