Cold and Damp

This evening there is a ring around the moon. According to the old timers that is an indicator of some precipitation, just as the Mare's Tails and Mackerel Scales we saw earlier today. The temperature did not rebound into the fifties like the prognosticators said it would all week long. 45 is definitely not 57, and I suspect that tomorrow will be no different. If it sounds like I am holding their feet to the fire on some of their predictions, I am. When they get it right I will applaud them, but when they get it wrong I will not. As you may have noticed I go by what I see outside my window or on my own instruments. Then I look at what was predicted. Sometimes what I have seen matches the prognosticators, and sometimes it does not.
