It’s Snowing

Wasn't I surprised when I came up to the computer and looked out the window? In the time it took me to have breakfast it went from a partly cloudy and star studded sky to snowing heavily with a half an inch of accumulation. The ground is not frozen yet, but there is a bit of a crust on it which should support my weight. That should enable me to get the mulching of the garden areas done. Not a moment too soon either.
If we were concerned about having a white Christmas, I think that concern is misplaced. I think we will have a white Thanksgiving, and the prognosticators are talking about some serious frozen precipitation over the first part of next week, and late in the week as well. Why not? We have had serious precipitation since May, so why should it stop now? Tune up the snow plows and snow blowers because here comes winter.

Katie almost turned around because visibility was so poor. However, the snow tapered off by the time we got to Route 17. Nothing at all from there into Augusta.
Yup, it was nasty!
