Summary for November

Once again this month more than half the days were overcast or mostly cloudy. The amount of precipitation was over 6 inches taking into account that we had 9.5 inches of snow which converts to 0.95 inches of rain. The low temperature averaged out below freezing, so on average we had a cold cloudy start to more than 50% of the days, and a cloudy finish to over 50% of the days in November. It is no wonder that it was difficult to get outside to do anything with preparations for the season ahead. If it wasn't cloudy with precipitation it was cold and the ground was to wet to get things done. I feel fortunate that I was able to get the brush pile burned and the peas and garlic mulched. I hope that the seeds and cloves don't rot in the ground as a result of all the wet weather.
