Not Much of Anything
What a strange day it has been. It started off snowing, the snow stopped, it snowed some more and now it is just dismal. Whatever snow fell has melted in my rain gauge and shows up as 0.02 in. of precipitation. With the temperature just below freezing, the roads are getting slippery. I have heard a report that there was a rollover on Mile Hill in New Sharon. The report went on to say that, the road was glare ice. The indicators on both my electronic instruments show inclement weather, and, from the look of the sky, I must agree with them.
The weather prognosticators have indicated that this storm did not produce as much snow as they thought it would. That was because the low formed further south than they expected it to. They did say that the wind would pick up as the storm passed by. I have not seen that yet, but we will wait and see what happens by morning. If the wind does pick up it should dry the roads off. That should make the commute tomorrow morning much less treacherous.
