A Cool but Delightful Day

It was cool today, but there was plenty of sun. It did warm up above freezing which made it possible for much of the snow to melt off the driveway. Right now, it is as dark as the inside of a pocket as I look out my north window. As the sun set the sky was a beautiful shade of red, not as brilliant as I've seen but quite nice. The wind has picked up this afternoon and is ranging from dead calm to around twelve miles an hour. That has made it a little less comfortable than it might have been without it. The wind direction has also been quite variable from south southeast to north northwest. The temperature is continuing to fall and it is already below 22.6°. With the clear skies, I would guess we would have a very cold evening.
