No Rain Yet

There has been no rain yet. The ground is thawing out and there are patches of mud here and there. The snow pack here in Wilton is all but gone. There is a pile here or there where it was plowed, but on my lawn, there is almost none. It has continued warm again today, so all there is left to do is to wait for the rain to start and erase the rest of the snow from the lawns. If it gets as cold as the forecasters say it is we will be in for a surprise on Saturday. Again, if they are right, it will not last long. I did say after Christmas that I was ready for spring, and I guess this is one of the longest I can remember here in Maine.
