A Total Of An Inch Of Snow

We did have a total of an inch of snow, but it melted in the rain gauge and showed up as 0.04 in. of precipitation. It melted because the temperature got to 37.0°. The wind has also started to blow making it feel much colder outside. This is a northwest wind, which probably means it is ushering in a blast of cold arctic air. That is to be expected, since we have not had much of that this winter. It will probably not last very long, just like the last time, simply because is so late in the season.
At this point in the season I feel, as many others do, that it is time to begin gardening. During the next couple of weeks I will probably start my tomatoes and peppers. I am ready to begin to see green and growing things. Of course, I said that right after Christmas. I have a whole bunch of seed catalogs that I'm just aching to order from.
High Temperature: 37.0°
Barometric Pressure (in.Hg): 29.75
Relative Humidity: 53%
Dew Point: 21.5°
Wind Direction: Northwest
Wind Speed (mph): 9.6
Wind Chill: 14.7°
Precipitation: Snow
Amount (inches): 0.50
Current temperature: 28.7°

Jeff --

I've loved reading your blog this winter. I visit your area in the summer and always wondered what it was like in winter. Do you know if Lake Webb ever froze this year?
