Sparkling Clear Skies

As the rosy-fingered dawn crept over the eastern horizon, there was not a cloud to be seen. The moon setting in the west was clear and bright. The air was cold and crisp with a light breeze making it feel significantly colder than it actually was. The ground has firmed up again with the cold weather yesterday and during the overnight. Bart and I certainly did not waste any time on our first excursion outside this morning. I was as anxious to get back inside as he was.
Instrumentally the indicators are for fair and improving weather, while the weather stick is only slightly elevated above the horizontal indicating a slight tendency toward improvement. We are still on that weather rollercoaster that we get onto every spring and fall. We just don't have the snow to melt off this year that we have in other years. This should make for an interesting mud season.
