The Portland forecast called for temperatures in the 40's today, but here we did not get that high. Nonetheless it was a pretty day. I did not get outside to check on the plant growth in the garden, and it is probably just as well. If I had disturbed the mulch it would have exposed the plants (if there are any, to some cold temperatures, and that would not have been good. I will wait a few days before I go poking around to see what is going on in the garden. At least the animals respected the fence today by staying where they belonged. That is always a good sign. They will be coming in soon anyway.
