Windy, Windy, Windy!

By the calendar and the sun this is the start of Spring. Of course spring arrives 1 day later for each 100 feet of altitude. It also creeps 1°N along the globe every 4 days. It will be a while before it gets here. This is according to my "Weather Wizard's 5-Year Weather Diary" published by Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill.
We have not gone above 40°F since the 14th of March. It has remained windy and cold all day today, and even with the bright sun we could only manage a little over 35°F. We certainly seem to have been in a pattern for the past week. It seems to be continuing. The weather instruments seem to be agreeing that the weather will deteriorate and we will have some inclement weather to deal with. The weather stick, however, goes blithely on calling for fair weather. Wow!
