Moon and Stars Shine

When I stepped outside this morning the moon and some stars greeted me. The sky was not completely clear, but it was better than it has been for a while. We had no rain overnight. I noticed on my willow trees and some of the maples that the leaves are out. If the old timers are to be believed this would be the time to go fishing, since the leaves are about the size of a mouse's ear. I will definitely need to put that to the test some time this week.
The weather stick is still straight out, and still indicating unsettled weather. The electronic instruments are taking the same tack they did last night with two of them indicating improving weather with sun, and one indicating clouds. The sky was tinged with red when I was first out this morning, so I guess I will stick with the forecast of unsettled weather again today.
