What A Day!!

This has been a beauty. The temperature has been great for working outdoors, and the wind has just been strong enough to keep the black flies at bay. Yes, the black flies are out and about. I have, as you will note from the photo below tilled the garden. This is the earliest I have gotten the ground prepared for planting. Now, over the next week or so I will get the cold weather crops in the ground. I will also put some weed blocker in place in some areas of the garden. The price of food, like everything else that is moved by motor freight, is going to go up exponentially as a result of the price of fuel. I am going to get mine grown so I do not have to deal with that to the same extent as I did last year.
All the weather indicators are calling for fair weather, and I believe them. At least I am not going to be walking in oatmeal like I did last year.
