I Blew This One
We only had a little bit more rain this morning, and then the sun came out. It did get to be partly cloudy, and it did warm up a little bit. It actually got nice enough that I went fishing, and the net result is shown below, a very nice and very tasty Rainbow Trout. It has been cooked and eaten.
The other photograph is of an Amaryllis that has been twice saved from the dump. It was given as a gift to my wife for Christmas about two years ago. She never did anything with it, and was about to throw it away. I salvaged it, watered it and set it to grow. It put forth some beautiful leaves, but no flower. My wife was about to send it to the dump again. I salvaged it, and put it in a closet where the leaves died back. About two weeks ago my wife found it in the closet with a flower bud and leaves growing. The bud and leaves were white because they had no light. We put it in the light and within a few days, the bud and leaves turned green. The result is shown below, just in time for Mother's Day.
When I entitled this, I was correct. I said we would get some more rain, as did the weather stick. Well, the electronic instruments got it right, although it did not get to clear skies, the rain did stop, and we did have some periods of sun. The weather stick this evening is saying fluctuating weather, and the electronic instruments are calling for some sunny or at least clear weather overnight. I guess since they made a fool of me I will go with what they are saying. I guess the only way we will know for sure it to see what happens tomorrow. Have a Happy Mother's Day.
