A Good Start

Happy Mother's Day! There are just a few clouds scattered across the very red sky this morning. By the time I got my coffee and got up to the camera, the sun was already up, and I did not get to photograph the sunrise. That was at about 05:15. The sun keeps rising earlier and earlier. That will change in about five weeks. With the temperature starting in the mid-forties and the sun shining, I would not be surprised to see the temperatures rise into the range of 70°. Maybe we will get a little bit of drying so the lawn can be mowed and the garden cultivated over the next several days. I know, I can be such an optimist sometime.
The weather stick is pointed slightly down, so it may be indicating some fluctuation, and a slight deteriorating weather condition. That is in direct opposition to the three electronic instruments. They are all indicating sunny weather with improving conditions. If by that, they mean that the sky will clear completely and the temperatures warm significantly I would love to agree with that. There is still a significant amount of rain showing up on the radar south of Portland, Maine, but our skies have cleared and the sun is shining brightly.
