Mostly Overcast
What a great day this was! My wood boiler is now cycling as it should, and that is a good thing. It is currently well stoked, and I do not know how long that will last. About 10:30 this morning one of my bicycling friends and I started out on a 25 mile ride. This was an absolutely fantastic day for it. It was not too hot, and there was cloud cover that kept the temperature a little lower. That also kept things from becoming oppressive. It took us a little over two hours to accomplish the ride. We both ride the Trek Across Maine, and the sad thing is what we did today would take us to the first rest stop on the first day of the Trek. Weather is certainly coming into play here for the training for that ride. I do hope to ride a great deal more before Father's Day Weekend. Just to note, in order to try to beat the leg cramps I took Bart for a 1 mile walk after lunch. We did get caught in the shower that gave us .02 inches of rain. Since then there have been a few breaks in the nimbostratus clouds which are currently making up the cloud cover.
The weather stick is calling for unsettled weather, which is an improvement from this morning. The other three instruments are indicating deteriorating conditions with a strong possibility for rain over the next twelve hours. Haven't we had enough rain? I really need to mow the lawn, and start collecting the wood that is lying around on my property.
