Here We Go Again: Rain And Fog
This morning we are again greeted with some light rain and heavy fog. From my office, I cannot see the two hundred feet to my neighbor's driveway. I have been able to harvest a little more asparagus, and by tonight I should be able to harvest enough for a meal. I finally have peas up. I do not know if these are the ones I planted last fall or this spring. It really does not matter, what matters is that they are growing. The weeds, as I have noted, are growing also, and the garden is too wet to cultivate. I have heard a rumor that we may get a little relief from the rain over the weekend. That would be good if it happens. I am, like most of us, getting tired of all the foul weather.
I did get a pretty good laugh at my instrumentation this morning. My weather stick and one of the electronic instruments are calling for rain. The weather stick pointed down and the electronic instrument showing rain falling from the clouds. The weather console and min/max thermometer are both saying conditions will improve and the sun will shine. I don’t think I believe either set of instrumentation. My feeling is that we will have some unsettled weather with cloudy periods and an excellent chance for showers. I have looked at the radar images and the surface model map, and it appears that we will be getting into some rain soon, but the weekend should clear out. We may have a chance for some showers on Monday, according to the model I viewed.
