The Breeze is Cool

The wind has been quite active ranging from the northwest to the south southwest and gusty. It definitely kept the black flies and mosquitoes at bay. As the afternoon has worn on it has become noticeably cooler. At least the sky has become mostly clear. The sun has been out most of the day, and it has been quite pleasant to get some wood cut and split for the wood boiler. Since that unit was installed, and the initial heating of the water accomplished, I have not heard my oil burner go on. That silence is beautiful. I am hopeful that tomorrow I will be able to mow my lawn, and cut up some more wood.
Now, on to the weather instruments. The weather stick is pointed slightly up, so to me it is indicating that the weather is still unsettled, but improving. The Min/Max thermometer and the weather station console are indicating improvement and clear skies. The newer remote station is indicating clouds or at least unsettled weather. I do not think we are out of the woods yet, and I suspect that the weather, although improved over the past week, will remain unsettled with a chance for some clouds, and maybe a scattered shower.
