Unsettled is Unsettled
We still seem to be in the grips of an unsettled weather pattern. On arising this morning I found clouds, although higher clouds than we have been seeing. These appeared to be altocumulus clouds rather than the stratocumulus we have been seeing. It has not rained yet today, but it certainly looks like it will. For the time being I will probably let the animals go outside, but I will get them in if it starts to rain. I still have not been able to mow the lawn, and that needs to be done, as does the replanting of the garden. One of the goats got into the garden and her hooves went about eight inches deep. I cannot work on the garden when it is like that, and the planting window is starting to close.
The weather stick is pointed down, and that is no surprise. The Min/Max Thermometer is still predicting rain and the remote station is predicting clouds. The weather station console is no longer hanging on to sunshine, but has changed its forecast to mixed sun and clouds with the weather deteriorating. This last certainly seems to be the way to go. I will stick to the forecast of unsettled or unstable weather with a pretty good chance of showers. Unlike the prognosticators that keep saying that Sunday and Monday will be great, I do not hold out a great deal of hope for the weekend as a whole.
