Humid and Overcast

Despite the overcast and humidity I am hopeful that any rain will hold off until after the towns and cities have their parades and celebrations for Memorial Day. Overnight the temperature did not go below 50°F. It is already above 58°F with a relative humidity of 81%. This is starting out like a typical summer day, warm and humid. If you are having a barbecue as part of your celebration today, I would suggest that you have it early rather than later, because I think we will have some rain out of this current weather system.
My weather instruments are exhibiting the same suggestion. The weather stick is straight, once again indicating unsettled weather. The weather station console and Min/Max Thermometer are forecasting deteriorating conditions together with a chance of rain. The remote weather station is suggesting a mix of sun and clouds, or unsettled weather at best. As I have been saying for most of the time leading up to the holiday, I do not hold out a great deal of hope for today's weather and outdoor activities.
