A Great Day For A Change
What a day to get some outside work done? This was that kind of day. Wood was stacked, the push mower used to trim the lawn and the riding mower to finish the job. I did get to step into the garden on a couple of occasions, and it is still far too wet to cultivate, let alone walk on. The asparagus has gone by, but the lettuce and other vegetables that had come up are doing all right. Some of the garlic seems a bit stunted, but time will tell on that. Before the end of this week, I hope to have the garden planted. I do not know what I will have for results. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
The weather stick finally points up, so it is calling for some good weather. The Min/Max Thermometer and Weather Station Console are both calling for continued improving conditions with sun. The remote weather station is indicating clouds or at best unsettled weather. The other indicator, which is not positive, is the smoke from my outdoor wood boiler which is drifting down indicating unsettled weather in the offing. There was no red sky this morning, and there is no red sky tonight, but there are some mare's tails and mackerel scales, so we may be in for a bit of foul weather. I am just not certain enough to make a prediction at this point.
