It's a Beautiful Morning!

It is truly a great morning for the first day of the Trek Across Maine. With temperatures near or just above 50 to start, we could not ask for better. This is not a race, but a fun ride to raise money and awareness for lung health in Maine. There was a tinge of red in the sky at 04:00 hours when I got up, but not enough to photograph. I do not think it portends any foul weather.
The weather instruments on the other hand do not strike me with confidence. The Min/Max Thermometer indicates improving weather with sun. The weather station console is calling for unsettled weather with improving conditions. Finally, the remote weather station is forecasting clouds or at least unsettled conditions. Finally, the weather stick points slightly down and we have been there before. I guess if you pay your money, you take your choice as to the forecast for today. I am hoping for nice weather, but I am not predicting anything.
