Summer Is Here

It was a cool start to the day, but by late morning, it was evident that the day was becoming rather warm. What a beautiful day for a bike ride!! Despite the heat, however, the humidity was relatively low. After lunch, I waited for Jeff to ride by and it was downright hot in the sun. Many bikers that passed were already sunburned and several looked quite hot (understandably so)….I don’t envy them and from what I understand from the professional forecasters, Sunday is going to be a real scorcher. I have heard the 'Triple H' phrase bandied about for that day. From what he said when he stopped, he was not alone in doing limited training due to the inclement weather. In fact, there were people who had ridden less than 100 miles in preparation for the ride, much like him. As long as the riders stay well hydrated, they should be fine.
The three instruments are not in agreement with each other. The weather stick points up, indicating continued fair weather. The electronic instruments disagree with each other. Min-Max thermometer and the remote weather station both indicate unsettled weather. The weather console indicates fair weather, with sun.
