Another Very Foggy Morning
The fog was so dense this morning that it was not possible to determine the cloud type or cloud cover. With the temperature in the mid-fifties, it is comfortable even with the high humidity. This should burn off reasonably soon, so that it will be possible to cut up some more wood, and possibly get the lawn mowed. I have a lot planned for today. As the saying goes, "Make hay while the sun shines." These days we don't know how long it will shine.
The weather stick still points down in the morning and that can be discounted, I do believe. The remote weather station is forecasting clouds, even with a barometric reading above 30 inches of mercury. The Min/Max Thermometer is forecasting a mix of sun and clouds with a tendency for the conditions to deteriorate. Finally, the Weather Station Console is forecasting improving conditions with sunshine. With instruments this confused it is no wonder that the professionals have a problem forecasting the weather. No wonder the forecasters have been saying that we will have unsettled weather with a chance for showers, and the possibility of some sunny breaks. In that way they cannot be wrong, since they have covered everything except snow, sleet and freezing rain.
