It Is Not Raining Yet
It is difficult to believe, but it s not raining here in Wilton this morning. We did have a little more rain after my report of last night, and that brings us to just 0.07 inches short of nine inches of rain for the month of June. This is three inches ahead of last year when we had 6.3 inches of rain for the month, and today is not yet over. It is no wonder my garden is a mud hole. It has not yet had a chance to dry out. We wonder why the cost of locally grown food is high. When we as small growers cannot get our gardens in the supply goes down, and the cost goes up. This is the economics of weather.
The weather indicators and instrumentation all agree. The weather stick points down and there is no surprise there. The Weather Station console, the Men/Max Thermometer and the remote weather station are all predicting rain today. We will know soon enough if that is indeed going to be the case or not.
