Showers May Be Over

We have had at least two showers this afternoon accompanied by some thunder and lightning. It still does not appear to have cooled things off as the prognosticators have been saying for the last 2 days. It is still hot and humid, and even the fans are not helping. The dew point is still nearly 70°F, and unless it falls dramatically, we will still have an uncomfortable night. We will continue to struggle with this heat and humidity, and try to get things done that need doing.
The instrumentation and indicators remain at odds. The Weather Stick points straight out, and the humidity is lower. That indicator would seem to say unsettled weather. The Weather Station Console indicates improving conditions with a mix of sun and clouds. The Min/Max Thermometer indicates improving conditions with sunshine. Finally, the remote weather station forecasts clouds. My best guess, then, would be a chance of showers, but conditions improving over the next twelve hours.
