Clear And Cooling Down Quickly
N.O.A.A. did well today. With the exception of the temperature, which they missed by 10°F on the low side they got the rest of the parameters correct. We had no rain, so I was able to split the wood I needed to from yesterday and get it all stacked. I now have around 13 cord of wood for this winter plus some kindling. This is my first year heating with wood alone, so I am in very unfamiliar territory. Further, it was such a nice day that I was able to get about 80% of my lawn mowed. It did take until afternoon before the grass was dry enough to mow.
The overnight forecast by the Weather Underground model is for no rain or cloudy sky. N.O.A.A. says the same for the predominant weather, temperatures falling from 56°F to 38°F, the cloud cover to increase from 8% to 16% and the relative humidity to increase from 49% to 100% by 05:00 tomorrow morning. If they are right, we should have a pleasant, but cool autumn night.
My Weather Stick points straight out suggesting unsettled weather. With the light red sunset that we had, I would disagree with that. I would also disagree with my electronic instruments all of which are forecasting falling barometric pressure. The Min/Max Thermometer and Weather Station Console are further forecasting rainy weather overnight. The remote weather station is suggesting a mix of clouds and fair skies. I agree with N.O.A.A. this time that we will have no rain and very few clouds overnight.
