Another Gray Day?
This morning has the appearance of being the start of another less than stellar day. There was some light fog in the area, and the sky is mostly cloudy. We did not have any rain overnight despite the N.O.A.A. forecast. The rain just did not materialize. Once we get through this weather system, my next major task will be to prepare my garden for next year. I do hope that May and June will not be as wet next year, allow me to put in a garden, and maintain it like it should be. For two years now, I have had little other than a weed patch, and that bothers me. The N. O. A.A. forecast maps for the overnight missed on the weather since all we had were clouds, the temperature was 4°F higher than that predicted, the cloud cover was very close to that predicted and the relative humidity was within 8% of the predicted. To predict these numbers and be within 10% of the actual readings is quite a feat.
For today, the Weather Underground forecast map predicts clearing skies. The N.O.A.A. forecast predicts that we will go from rain to showers (we have had neither), the temperature will rise from 57°F to 74°F, the cloud cover will drop from 92% to 75% and the relative humidity will fall from 96% to 60% at 14:00 hours and back up to 62% by 17:00 hours. Good luck on that forecast.
The Weather Stick points down, and that is no surprise. The three electronic instruments show a tendency for the barometer to rise and the conditions to become a mix of sun and clouds. With what I see outside, I am unable to dispute that, and will call for gradually improving sky conditions and barometric readings for today
