Another Summer Day, But Fog Early
It is not even 10:00 hours and the temperature is up to 63°F. It seems that it is going to climb right up into the summer range of 79°F, and that will be all right. After all, this is still summer, and will remain so until the equinox on the 21st. I am enjoying a bit of a respite from the acquisition of wood for my Outdoor Wood Boiler, although I will be starting that again before long for next year. The Weather Underground forecast map did get the predominant weather right overnight, since there was no rain. It was foggy when I got up early this morning.
The prognostication of the Weather Underground forecast model is for clear skies today.. N.O.A.A. also predicts no rain for today, the temperature rising to 79°F, the cloud cover ranging up to 24% and the relative humidity falling from 93% to 55% by 14:00 hours.
My Weather Stick still points down, and at 93% relative humidity we understand that response. My weather instruments all seem to indicate deteriorating barometric pressure, and a forecast of rain, except for the remote weather station, which forecasts its usual, clouds. I noted that the sky this morning was, and is, mostly cloudy with cirrocumulus clouds or a mackerel sky. That frequently is a portent of rain in 24 hours, so, despite other prognostications, I will suggest that we may well have some rain in the next 24 hours.
