Fog To Start
This morning when Bart and I stepped out the door, we were greeted by swirling dense fog. There was even the feeling of a few drops of rain as I checked my Outdoor Wood Boiler for the daily maintenance. N.O.A.A. only receives a 50% grade for their forecast last night because the cloud cover is at or near 100%, the temperature never got down to 50°F, at 93% the relative humidity is close and we do have fog with a bit of rain mixed in. There has not yet been enough rain to measure, but that may come later.
For today, the Weather Underground model forecast map shows a potential for some showers later today, but most of the weather seems to be going north and west of us. N.O.A.A. predicts that the predominant weather will become showers by the end of the day, with a high temperature at 72°F, cloud cover around 68% and the relative humidity falling from 100% to 76%. It seems that this system has taken almost three days to arrive here, therefore it will take some time to depart the area.
As usual, the Weather Stick points down. All three of my electronic instruments indicate deteriorating barometric pressure, and indeed the pressure has fallen since last night. They are also in concert about the forecast, indicating that there is rain in our future. I will suggest that we will be warm today, and we will also see some showers before nightfall.
By the way, has anyone seen my adult Peacock. He has been missing since Thursday of last week, or if he is just out on the block, does anyone have any idea how long he may be gone? His Peahen seems to be missing him.
