Rain Is Finished
We had a total of 0.47 inches of rain out of this system so far. From the NEXRAD composite radar, it does appear we are done with this rainstorm. In addition, from the Weather Underground forecast model it seems that we will be the better part of the day getting rid of the overcast. This is a first in a while; N.O.A.A. has achieved a grade of 100%. The called for rain overnight, the temperature was close to 56°F, the cloud cover was a bit above 73%, and the relative humidity was within 10% at 92%.
For today, the Weather Underground forecast model shows the storm pulling away, but taking a while to do so. N.O.A.A. is forecasting the weather to go from showers to none, the temperature to top out at 69°F, the cloud cover to decrease from78% to 48% and the relative humidity to fall from 84% at 08:00 hours to 58% by 17:00 hours.
My Weather Stick is pointed (guess where) down because of the 92% humidity. That portends continued foul weather if you believe that sort of thing. All three of my electronic instruments are predicting continued rain with a falling barometric pressure. The pressure does appear to be continuing to fall at 29.50 in Hg as I write this. Based on all the information that I have at hand I would suggest that the system will move out slowly leaving in its wake some nice weather, but it will take the better part of the day to do so.
