Clouds To The East and West
By the time I got outside this morning, the sun was up and the wind was very active. The temperature had already risen almost 20°F from its morning low. I would have to grade the N.O.A.A. forecast at 95% since they were close on all their prognostications. The one that was the furthest away was the relative humidity, which reached 90% instead of 95%. The Weather Underground model forecast maps were correct, and we had no rain.
The current N.O.A.A. forecast maps show the predominant weather with no rain, the temperature rising to about 66°F then falling back to 64°F, the cloud cover increasing from 32% to 47% by evening and the relative humidity falling from 92% to 40% by 14:00 then rising to 48% by evening. The Weather Underground model maps still forecast nice weather for the day.
My Weather Stick, surprisingly, points slightly down, and with a relative humidity of 55%, I would have expected it to be pointing up. Perhaps that does indicate some unsettled weather in the near future. I got outside too late to determine if there was any fog, but from the appearance of everything, I doubt it. All three of the electronic instruments are forecasting increasing barometric pressure. The Weather Station Console and Min/Max Thermometer indicate that we will have continued sunny weather. The remote weather station has moved its forecast up to a mix of sun and clouds. It does seem to be slower to react than the other instruments. From what I see outside, I predict that we will have another pleasant day.
