Overcast Sky Greets The Equinox

N.O.A.A. is forecasting rain for today, but so far, there has not been any. The Weather Underground forecast model map is not showing any rain until around 15:00 hours this afternoon. Weather Underground said no rain overnight, and they got it right. N.O.A.A. got it wrong. N.O.A.A.'s other predictions did not fare a great deal better, they got the temperature within a degree, the cloud cover was off by 25-30% and the relative humidity was 12% lower than predicted. Their score for last night is a whopping 25%. Not too good folks!
For today, as I have noted Weather Underground's forecast model calls for rain to start between noon and 15:00 hours, and supposedly it will stop by midnight. N.O.A.A. is already working on a lower score, since it is supposed to be raining already, the temperature should reach a maximum of 62°F, the cloud cover is predicted to reach 100% by 14:00 hours then fall to 73% and the relative humidity is predicted to start at 100% and fall to 75%. From what my instruments tell me, you have already missed the mark.
My Weather Stick points down, which is its usual position with 89% humidity. Maybe it is predicting foul weather, but that is just one person's interpretation. The electronic instruments are a bit more definitive. All three are forecasting deteriorating barometric pressure, and they seem to be right since the pressure has fallen to 29.87 in Hg since last night. The Weather Station Console and Min/Max Thermometer predict a mix of sun and clouds, while the remote weather station forecasts cloudy conditions. I am forecasting a rather unpleasant day with some rain later on and cool, damp conditions all day. Plan on some indoor activities today to stay warm and dry.

The prediction for the rain is the same hours for the preparing and running of the demo derby at the fair today. Many of us look so forward to the Sat nite demo, only once a year. Any chance you could change the weather just this one time Jeff? Have a nice dry day!!!!!!!
