Cool and Humid With Heavy Dew
There was no rain overnight, and the sky was clear this morning, although it almost feels like it is going to rain. It is that humid right now. The Weather Underground model forecast map got their part of the forecast right, as we had no rain. N.O.A.A. likewise got it right, their forecast temperature was within 1°F of the actual, the cloud cover was in the 0% to 10% range and the relative humidity was 8% higher than their forecast. On that basis, the best score I can give them is a 65%.
The Weather Underground model forecast map is predicting the possibility of showers this morning, with that threat moving out by noon. N.O.A.A. also predicts possible showers this morning, the temperature to rise to 63°F 14:00 hours then fall back to 61 by 17:00 hours, the cloud cover to fall to 39% and the relative humidity to fall to 44% by 14:00 hours then begin to rise to 46% by 17:00 hours. That is their forecast, and they are sticking to it.
My Weather Stick points down indicating high humidity, and maybe some inclement weather moving in. The electronic instruments cannot agree at all. The Weather Station Console forecasts improving barometric pressure with clear weather. The Min/Max Thermometer predicts falling barometric pressure with a mix of sun and clouds. Finally, the remote weather station forecasts deteriorating barometric pressure with foul weather. Now we have fog that has moved into the area (06:20 hours). Go figure, and the temperature has now dropped from its earlier low of 39°F to 38.4°F. That changes any parameter that relies on temperature for its calculation.
