It has been foggy since before 04:30 hours, and that is one that N.O.A.A. missed completely. The Weather Underground forecast model had it right that we would nave no rain overnight, and we have not. When I was outside around midnight the sky was clear and star studded. N.O.A.A. did get our temperature correct at 35°F (actual 34.8°F ), since I cannot see the sky due to the fog I will need to accept the 26% estimate for the cloud cover and the relative humidity was actually 90%, which is close enough this morning to the actual of 90%. Since the only parameter that was missed was the predominant weather, I would score them at 70%.

For today, the Weather Underground model map forecasts no rain and high pressure building in. N.O.A.A. predicts the same for the predominant weather, the temperature to rise to 63°F, some clouds to move in to yield a 46% cloud cover and the relative humidity to fall to 48% by 14:00 hours then rise to 50% by 17:00 hours. This is forecast to be a pleasant although cool day.
Once again, my Weather Stick points down in response to the 90% relative humidity, and not any portent of weather to come. The Weather Station Console and Min/Max Thermometer call for rising barometric pressure and clear skies. The remote weather station still says clouds with a steady barometer. I think the fog will dissipate fairly quickly, and we will be left with a sunny day with moderate temperatures. Add this morning to the foggy mornings in September, and probably to the number of storms for the winter. I keep coming up with pleasant thoughts.
