The Sky Is Clearing
When I started working on this report at 05:00 the temperature was 41.1°F and over the next two and a half hours it continued to fall. I left it to do some other things, and have finally gotten back to finish it. The N.O.A.A. forecast for overnight did not do very well. The change from scattered showers to no precipitation was correct, they missed by over 2°F on the temperature, the cloud cover at 05:00 hours was around 80% and the relative humidity was 83% not 99%. A grade of 35% is the best I can afford them for this forecast.
The Weather Underground forecast map shows the sky clearing and staying clear through tomorrow. N.O.A.A. predicts that there will be no precipitation today, the temperature will rise to 57°F by 14:00 hours then fall to 55°F by 17:00 hours, the cloud cover will dissipate to 31% and 37% over the same time frame and the relative humidity will fall from 96% to 35% and 38% over that same time period. If correct, that is a good forecast.
My Weather Stick points down still, oh well. All three of the electronic instruments forecast improving barometric pressure, and it has gone up significantly. That usually portends improving weather. Only the remote weather station predicts clouds for today, the other two forecast fair skies. I think that is what we will have. This should be another great Autumn day to do what needs to be done to prepare for the next season. Got Wood?
