Clouds Have Taken Up Residence Again
As often happens at this time of year we are starting off with mostly cloudy skies. As a result the temperature did not fall as far as was predicted. It did not reach the freezing mark, the cloud cover is higher than 59% and the relative humidity at 05:00 hours is 84% not 91%. We did not have any precipitation overnight. The best I can come up with for a score for N.O.A.A. is 35%, and that is an "F". The Weather Underground model forecast map had the precipitation right last night.
For today the Weather Underground model forecast map predicts that we will not have any precipitation, and the barometric pressure will rise. N.O.A.A. predicts no precipitation, with temperatures rising to 54°F by 14:00 hours then falling to 52°F by 17:00 hours, the cloud cover remaining at or near 50% and the relative humidity falling to 40% by 14:00 hours then rising to 44% by 17:00 hours. That seems to be a very involved forecast.
My Weather Stick, in response to the 84% humidity, points only slightly down. No Comment. All three of the electronic instruments forecast improving barometric pressure, and indeed it has risen significantly since last evening. Only two, the Weather Station Console and Min//Max Thermometer, predict fair skies for today. The remote weather station forecasts a mix of clouds and fair skies. This may be another good day to walk in the woods to see what is out there for deer sign, and maybe bag a partridge or two.
