Fog As Thick As Pea Soup
I waited a while before venturing out this morning due to the fog and low temperature. By the time I did get outside to exercise Bart any frozen fog had melted on vehicles etc. That fog is burning off even as I write this, and the temperature is now just above freezing. N.O.A.A. got the predominant weather right, the temperature within 1°F, the cloud cover is virtually non-existent and the relative humidity at 05:00 hours was 88%. I would score them at 75% due to the near misses on cloud cover and relative humidity.
For today N.O.A.A. predicts no rain for our area (there may be scattered showers just west of us), the temperature to rise to 55°F by 14:00 hours then fall to 53°F by 17:00 hours, the cloud cover to rise from 42 % this morning to 80% by 17:00 hours and the relative humidity to fall to 43% by 14:00 hours then rise to 50% by 17:00 hours. There is still some fog here, but the sunshine is visible through it, so it will not be here for very long.
My Weather Stick points down, and with 90% relative humidity that is a no-brainer. The Weather Station Console and Min/Max Thermometer forecast fair skies with an improving barometer. The remote weather station forecasts a steady barometer with mixed clouds and fair skies. The barometer is up since last night, but only 0.02 in Hg. My best estimate is that we will have another autumn day with moderate temperatures, but some clouds moving in before evening.
