Have You Noticed How Much Cooler It Is?
The overall temperature has certainly gone down since September. Our high temperatures are much lower, and so are our low temperatures. Autumn, the season of change, certainly has a grip on our weather. N.O.A.A. and the Weather Underground model forecast map said it would rain overnight and indeed, it has. N.O.A.A. further predicted the temperature would fall to 44°F but it only made it to 47.1°F. They got the cloud cover percentage right, but missed by about 9% on the relative humidity. I need to give partial credit on the temperature so their score for the overnight is 70%, which is a "C".
The Weather Underground model map predicts that the rain will taper to showers and end by about 18:00 hours this evening. N.O.A.A. claims that the showers will end around 14:00 hours this afternoon, the temperature will rise to 61 by then and then fall back to 60 by 17:00 hours. They further predict that the cloud cover will dissipate to 75% and the relative humidity will fall from100% to 72% by 17:00 hours. These prognosticators agree on the forecast, it is just the timing where there is some disagreement.
My Weather Stick points down this morning, and either that is from the high humidity or the foul weather we are experiencing. Once again, all three of the electronic instruments are in agreement forecasting foul weather and deteriorating barometric pressure for the foreseeable future. I have to agree, and call for rain and moderate temperatures.
